The valves in your veins are how blood travels from your legs to your heart. When we take a step our calf muscle puts pressure on our veins forcing the blood upward through multiple one-way valves. When these valves become broken the blood is then not able to move up the veins in the legs and causes the vein to become under pressure thus causing<a href=\"https:\/\/illinoisveinspecialists.com\/es\/venous-lymphatic-diseases\/varices\/\">\u00a0<\/a><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/illinoisveinspecialists.com\/es\/venous-lymphatic-diseases\/varices\/\">Varices<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-cc735be elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"cc735be\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Causes of CVH<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2b0132c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2b0132c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>As the valves break, gravity pulls the blood in the veins downward. These broken valves force more pressure on the indwelling veins below. When too many of the valves break, the pressure builds to a high level, and it\u2019s this high pressure that impedes veins from functioning properly. Once diagnosed, the physician will go over the results and recommend the appropriate treatment plan based on the Venous Ultrasound findings.
